The latest leaks surrounding the Galaxy Z Fold 6 indicate a design evolution rather than a revolutionary change. Samsung seems poised to introduce it as the first AI-driven foldable device, though it will largely inherit design and specifications from its predecessors.

Fresh insights stem from certification documents submitted by Samsung to Indian regulatory authorities. The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) details the battery specifics for both the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6. Notably, the Z Fold 6 is slated to house batteries with part numbers EB-BF956ABE and EB-BF956ABY, resembling those of the 2022 Z Fold 4.

Most current flagship phones, like the Z Fold 5, utilize two separate batteries, facilitating rapid charging up to 25W. While the Z Fold 6 may not match this speed, its single-battery setup prioritizes long-term battery performance, ensuring sustained device longevity for users.

Additionally, the dual-battery configuration in foldable smartphones like the Z Fold 6 optimizes weight distribution, enhancing comfort when the device is unfolded. Despite the absence of precise battery specifications in the BIS documentation, recent filings in China hint that the Z Fold 6 will ship with the same 25W charger as its predecessor, the Z Fold 5. Notably, reliable sources suggest the Z Fold 6 will retain a 4000 mAh battery, consistent with previous Fold models.

Samsung is anticipated to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event in July. Stay tuned for further details as the launch date approaches.
