Introduction: One UI 7 Is a Game Changer
If you’re someone who craves a smartphone experience tailored exactly to your taste, you’re going to love One UI 7. Samsung has outdone itself this time, especially when you explore its full customization potential on a powerhouse like the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
In this guide, I’m not just going to list out features—we’ll walk through a full custom One UI 7 setup that turns your phone into something truly personal, efficient, and stylish. Whether you’re looking for aesthetic upgrades, smoother interactions, or automation that just works, this setup is designed to inspire and empower.
Let’s jump into the world of One UI 7 and see what makes it so incredibly customizable.
1. Lock Screen Setup: Your Personality Starts Here

With One UI 7, the lock screen isn’t just a screen—it’s the entrance to your mobile life. The customization here is next level.
For this setup, we went with a clean vertical clock layout paired with dynamic lock screen widgets. The date and time are large, easy to read, and paired with a small music widget that only appears when music is playing—thanks to One UI 7’s new intelligent widget toggling feature.
Samsung’s Lock Screen Editor has been updated in One UI 7, allowing finer control over element positions, widget transparency, and font styles. You can even adjust the notification layout to prioritize important apps.
This means your Galaxy S25 Ultra’s lock screen can go from functional to fabulous in minutes—all without third-party apps.
2. Wonderland Live Wallpapers: Bring Your Screen to Life
Let’s talk animation. If you’re not using Wonderland yet, One UI 7 makes it easier than ever to bring your phone to life. For this setup, we chose a space-themed animation that reacts subtly when the phone is tilted or unlocked.
Wonderland is part of the Good Lock family, and in One UI 7 it’s gotten some real improvements: smoother animations, better battery optimization, and more control over effects. You can now layer multiple animations, sync motion with sound, and export your own creations.
This makes your home and lock screens dynamic and interactive without feeling tacky. Every time you turn on your display, it feels like you’re launching into something cinematic—and that’s the beauty of One UI 7.

3. Quick Panel Customization: Fast Access, Cleaner Layout

One UI 7 lets you take full control of the quick settings panel. With the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s tall display, reachability is key. So, in this setup, we rearranged the tiles for one-handed access: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Mobile Data, Flashlight, and Power Saving are now on the first swipe.
One UI 7 also introduces Smart Grouping—a feature that automatically categorizes similar toggles (like all connectivity settings or audio settings) into collapsible clusters. This keeps the panel clean, intuitive, and responsive.
Plus, you can now change background blur strength, adjust icon shapes, and switch between light and dark themes independently for the Quick Panel.
It’s a small detail, but when combined with the rest of your One UI 7 setup, it adds a layer of polish that feels premium.
4. Routines + Modes: Power Efficiency Meets Intelligence
Want your phone to do the thinking for you? One UI 7’s Routines and Modes let your Galaxy S25 Ultra behave differently based on your needs—automatically.
Here’s how we set it up:
- Night Mode: When bedtime approaches, the phone dims the screen, turns on grayscale, activates DND, and triggers the sleep mode in Samsung Health.
- Work Mode: On weekdays from 9 AM to 6 PM, it blocks social media apps, enables auto-brightness, and switches to vibration.
- Travel Routine: When you’re on the move (detected via location or car Bluetooth), it launches Google Maps, reads out notifications, and disables distractions.
What’s new in One UI 7 is the Routine Suggestions—Samsung now uses AI to suggest new automations based on your habits. Plus, the new editor allows “If-Then-Else” logic for more complex routines.
This makes One UI 7 one of the most intelligent mobile OS experiences you can get—custom-tailored without lifting a finger.
5. Home Screen Minimalism: Focused and Functional

A cluttered home screen is a thing of the past. One UI 7’s new App Drawer improvements, including smart folder suggestions and categorized sorting, mean you don’t need to keep dozens of icons on your home screen.
For this setup, we used just one home screen page:
- Top Row: A custom One UI 7 weather widget that adapts to your current location.
- Middle: A Google Search bar paired with the new Smart Suggestions widget that shows contextual app recommendations.
- Bottom Dock: Only four apps—Phone, Messages, Camera, and Chrome.
Everything else lives in the App Drawer, sorted by usage frequency or category. You can also hide unused apps altogether—a feature Samsung enhanced in One UI 7.
This setup lets you focus on what matters, without losing speed or access.
6. Edge Panel + Taskbar Tweaks
On the Galaxy S25 Ultra, with its massive display, Edge Panel is a game-changer. One UI 7 lets you assign specific panels to different contexts.
We added:
- A “Work Tools” panel with Outlook, Teams, Calendar.
- A “Creative Set” with Canva, Samsung Notes, Gallery.
- A pinned clipboard panel for quick copy-paste across apps.
One UI 7 now supports multi-level panels, meaning you can swipe horizontally and vertically inside panels for more tools—great for productivity.
Plus, if you’re using DeX, the floating taskbar now has app pinning and recent activity tracking, making One UI 7 the best DeX experience yet.
7. App Library & Smart Finder: Better Than Ever

One UI 7 introduces an improved App Library (finally catching up to iOS). It includes a Smart Finder tool with voice search, tag-based sorting, and app usage heatmaps.
Our favorite use? Tag apps by mood. For instance:
- Tag social apps as “Relax.”
- Productivity tools as “Work.”
- Meditation and wellness apps as “Calm.”
Now you can just tap a tag and One UI 7 will show relevant apps—no more digging.
8. Camera Shortcuts & Modes: Fast Access to Quality
Samsung’s camera UI in One UI 7 is more refined, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra takes full advantage of it.
In this custom setup, we used the Pro Video Shortcut Widget on the lock screen, and set the volume keys to instantly launch the camera in “Night Mode.”
Plus, we customized the camera modes to show only the ones we use—removing unnecessary clutter like Food Mode and AR Doodle.
One UI 7 also adds personalized scene optimization, which adapts the camera based on your previous edits and photo habits.
If you’re someone who shoots often, this setup gives you the perfect blend of control and convenience.
9. Battery & Power Management: Go Longer, Smarter

With One UI 7, battery optimization gets a serious upgrade. The Battery Protection Mode now offers three levels: Basic, Adaptive, and Maximum, which lets you control how much charge your phone stores to extend battery lifespan.
We set up an automation to activate Power Saving Mode below 25%, which now dims the wallpaper, disables Always-On Display, and limits CPU usage—but still lets you take calls and use essential apps.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra’s battery paired with One UI 7’s power management gives you up to 2 days of moderate use with this setup.
10. Accessories Integration (ESR Case & Stand)
This setup also includes accessories like the ESR transparent case and ESR kickstand, which complement the aesthetic and functionality of One UI 7.
The clear case lets your animated wallpapers shine, while the kickstand is perfect for Flex Mode features during video calls or content viewing.
Final Thoughts: One UI 7 Is a Blank Canvas
With One UI 7, your phone becomes more than a phone—it’s a personalized extension of who you are. Samsung is giving users the tools to design their experience from the ground up.
Whether you’re into aesthetics, performance, automation, or all three, One UI 7 gives you the freedom to create a setup that works for you—not the other way around.
