Samsung and apple are the great competitors from a long time. The Galaxy Nexus and iPhone 4S are the latest mobiles on the market. Both mobiles are best amongst there own but in this post we will discussed about why Galaxy Nexus is better than iPhone 4S. As we know Galaxy Nexus is the first phone to ship with the latest version of Google’s Android operating system, Ice Cream Sandwich and iPhone has recently launched its iOS 5 in iPhone 4S.
The 4S had a couple weeks grace period before Samsung and Google responded with their own cutting-edge phone, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. The design of the Galaxy Nexus is unique because it has a huge, 4.65” screen sitting behind a curved-glass front. Also, the profile of the phone has a slight “teardrop” shape (thinner up top, wider at the bottom). These design decisions are meant to make the phone more comfortable while holding it. This device is not only a beautiful but loaded with many features such as NFC, 4G capability, and of course “widgets”. Some other interesting bells and whistles include face recognition log in, no physical interface buttons and new photo editing software which is missing on iPhone 4S.

Design :
The Galaxy Nexus is bigger, thinner and lighter. The Iphone 4S is noticeably smaller than the Galaxy Nexus and this doesn’t come as much of a surprise as Samsung has a habit of making rather large high-end devices, as can be seen with the Galaxy Nexus S and Galaxy Note devices. Despite having a screen that is over an inch bigger at 4.65 in, the Galaxy Nexus is 5gm lighter means 135g and thinner at 8.94mm than Apple’s device which has a 3.5in screen, weighs 140g and has a 9.3mm thick frame. Samsung as we think it is better option in design matter.
Display :
Galaxy Nexus: The first Android Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone features a large 4.65-inch HD Super AMOLED PenTile display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels at 316 ppi. The display has a contrast ratio of 100,000:1 and it is certainly one of the best displays on a smartphone in the world.
Apple iPhone 4S: Though small at 3.5-inch, iPhone 4S has a superb LED-backlit IPS TFT capacitive Retina Display. It offers 640 x 960 pixels, multi-touch capabilities, accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass and many others.
Samsung with its HD Super AMOLED PenTile display makes it a better option in display matter.
Hardware :
Both devices have amazing components. The Galaxy Nexus has a 1.2GHz Texas Instruments dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM. The Galaxy Nexus is available with 16GB of internal storage and, like Apple’s device, does not have microSD card support.
Meanwhile, The iphone 4S has a dual-core Apple A5 processor running at 1GHz and is backed by 512MB of RAM. Apple offers a choice of 16GB, 32GB or 64GB of internal storage, but the iphone 4S has no microSD card support.
Galaxy Nexus having a faster processor and double the memory, the performance of the Galaxy Nexus is noticeably faster than the Iphone 4S.
Verdict :
Samsung is to continue the domination of its predecessor Galaxy phones in global mobile industry. Energized by a new version of ICS, the new Nexus seems to be the best smartphone in the world. iPhone 4S, however, is not proficient enough to compete with Galaxy Nexus. Samsung with its Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich has some strength which is better response than iPhone 4S iOS 5.
