HTC has launched its new Smartphone known as HTC Explorer, It has total of 512 MB RAM and a 600 MHz processor, and the Explorer handles the latest Android version (Gingerbread 2.3.5) with Sense UI 3.5 on top. Explorer leaves behind the old ARMv6 processor and moves to the Snapdragon S1 platform that comes with ARMv7. Another one Samsung with is very know model Galaxy Y Duos, the ultimate Android Smartphone for the young generation. “Duos” suggests, dual SIM is what would attract the youth the most. Its 3.14 inch TFT capacitive touchscreen will give great viewing experience. This 3G enabled gadget comprises of 3 megapixels camera that produces good quality images and videos can be recorded in QVGA at 24fps. Let’s compare these phones one on one.
Samsung Galaxy Y Duos VS HTC Explorer:
Processor and OS:
The new Samsung Galaxy Y Duos has got 832 MHz processor and it is running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system. Other hand HTC Explorer Smartphone is powered by 600 MHz Cortex A5 processor having Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 MSM7225A chipset and it is running on same Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system. It is clearly looking Samsung has better processor than HTC.

In this term Samsung internal memory is better than HTC, but as we see RAM HTC has got more RAM.

The Samsung Galaxy Y Duos has a 3.14 inches, TFT Capacitive Touch screen display. While HTC comes with 3.2-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen display with 320×480 pixels resolution. Samsung has its own Samsung TouchWiz user interface while HTC uses its own HTC Sense UI 3.5.
Camera:
Both devices have got same camera features like 3.15 MP, 2048×1536 pixels shooter camera with Geo-tagging. In extra HTC has got face detection features. None of the devices have got front camera for video calling.
Connectivity:
For the connectivity features, both phones have got same Wi-Fi 802.11 b, g, n, GPRS/EDGE, microUSB 2.0, Bluetooth 3.0 and Tethering, GPS with A-GPS and 3.5 mm Audio connector Jack. In extra HTC ahs got 3G Speed HSDPA 14.4 Mbps, HSUPA 5.76 Mbps, while Samsung has got only HSDPA, 7.2 Mbps.
Size, Weight and Battery:
The HTC size is 102.8 x 57.2 x 12.9 mm and Wight 108 g. It has Standard battery, Li-Ion 1230 mAh power, other hand Samsung Galaxy Y Duos size is 109.8 x 60 x 12 mm and 109 gm. It has Standard battery, Li-Ion 1300 mAh. We can’t see huge differences between these phones.
Price:
Samsung Galaxy Y Duos will cost you little more than HTC Explorer having 200Euro, while Explorer has got only 120 Euro.
