The Samsung Galaxy S II comes with Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread, and it is expected to get the Android 2.3.4 update shortly, now it looks like the Android 2.3.4 update for the Galaxy S II has been leaked. According to the guys over at Samsung Hub, the update is a beta built of the Android 2.3.4 update for the Galaxy S II, and there are a choice of custom ROMs based on the latest Android OS available.
The newly updated ROM has been spotted online and you can upgrade your phone instantly. But it has been said that, this new version has minor changes in it, but still are very curious to upgrade your phone’s firmware, you can get it. One good news for firmware upgraders, now your Samsung Galaxy S II will support Google Talk Video calls. The battery performance has been improved, according to reports. But I would like to aware you with the fact that, this firmware upgrade is not officially announced by Samsung. Check before you follow the sptes:
- Your device must be rooted
- You should have ClockworkMod custom Recovery
- You don’t need to Wipe your data before flashing this if you are already on a 2.3.3 ROM
- You need ODIN
Download Android 2.3.4 update files:
Procedure to upgrade Samsung Galaxy S2 with Android 2.3.4:
- Load up Odin and flash SuperCore using it on your SGS2
- Copy DarkyROM2 on the internal SD card
- Switch off the device
- Boot into recovery by pressing volume up, home and power button together
- Choose install .Zip from SD card from the options in ClockworkMod recovery
- Choose the ROM you just downloaded and flash it
- Reboot the device
- All done
