Galaxy S I9000 has got Galaxy S3 themed Rom, now the users of S9000 can enjoy the Galaxy S3 themed Rom on their handset. Samsung I9000 Galaxy S comes with Android OS v2.1 (Eclair), upgradable to v2.2 and ARM Cortex A8 1GHz Processor. It has 4 inches Super AMOLED touchscreen, 16M colors and with 480 x 800 pixels resolution. Samsung I9000 Galaxy S has 5 MP camera with autofocus plus video recording at 720p@30fps. It has Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n; DLNA and 3G data transfer at HSDPA 7.2 Mbps, HSUPA 5.76 Mbps. Developers have given very pretty look on this Rom, this is not an official version of Rom released By Samsung so some bugs expected. Let’s check out the installing procedure of this Rom.

Pre-Requisites for updating Galaxy S3 themed Rom:

1. Galaxy S I9000 must be rooted.

2. Install Flash the stock XXJW4 firmware.

3. Backup all your data properly, so that after applying this firmware you can restore all your data back to its own place. You can take help from this tutorial.

4. Charge your battery at least 80% so that no power interruption during the process.

5. Enable the USB Debugging in your Galaxy ACE from the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging”. The USB Debugging option should be ticked.

6. Disable all security programs like antivirus and firewall. Also disable Kies for Samsung.

7. Download the ICSGS3: SGS3 themed ROM

Step by step guide to install Galaxy S3 themed Rom on Samsung Galaxy SI9000:

Step1. First connect your Samsung Galaxy SI9000 into your PC with the help of original USB cable.

Step2. Now, copy the above downloaded .zip files (ICSGS3: SGS3 themed ROM) into the root directory of the phone internal memory.

Step3. Turn of your SI9000 so as to enter in CWM recovery. Enter By holding these 3 buttons together: Volume Up, Home, and the Power button till the screen turns on, then let go of the buttons.
In recovery, use Volume keys to scroll up and down and power key to select an option.

Step4. Now select the option wipe data/factory reset, then select yes on next screen to confirm. Wait a while till the data wipe is complete.

Step5. Now its time to select installs zip from sdcard, then select choose zip from sdcard. Scroll to the ROM file on the sdcard and select it.

Step6. Select yes to confirm installation _____.zip on the next screen, the ROM will start installation.

Step7. It will reboot during the installation.

Step8. After the installation is complete, select go back and then select reboot system now to reboot your phone.

That’s it now your device after restart land on new Custom rom.

Note: If the firmware update interrupts between the middle of the process. Then you need to reinsert the battery and apply the update again by following the steps again from the start. Don’t forget to restore the backup which you have taken in the initial steps:
