Samsung Galaxy Note N7000 has been updated with new ICS XXLPY 4.0.3 Firmware. It is an official international version released from Samsung. This update is dubbed as XXLPY Firmware version and is a touch wiz based ICS firmware. Samsung Galaxy Note which comes with Android OS v2.3 (Gingerbread) and Dual-core 1.4GHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor. It has huge 5.3 inches Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 16M colors and 800 x 1280 pixels resolution. Samsung Galaxy Note has 8 MP camera with autofocus, LED flash plus a Secondary 2 MP camera and Video recording at 1080p@24~30fps. The phone has bluetooh v3.0 with A2DP, EDR, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, DLNA, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi hotspot, NFC and 3G data transfer at HSDPA 21 Mbps; HSUPA 5.76 Mbps. This update is leaked from Germany and can be applied by any Galaxy note user irrespective from the region one has bought from.
Installation procedure:
1. Backup all your data properly, so that after applying this firmware you can restore all your data back to its own place. You can take help from this tutorial.
2. Charge your battery at least 80% so that no power interruption during the process.
3. Enable the USB Debugging in your Galaxy Note N7000 from the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging”. The USB Debugging option should be ticked.
4. Disable all security programs like antivirus and firewall. Also disable Kies for Samsung.
5. Download the XXLPY ICS 4.0.3 for Galaxy Note N7000 and extract it same.
6. Download the Odin Tool.
Step by step guide to install ICS XXLPY 4.0.3 Firmware on Samsung Galaxy Note N7000:
Step1. Turn off your device so as to enter in download Mode. The download in Samsung Galaxy Note can be entered by pressing Volume down Key + OK button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button. Now, a Warning message will be shown when you need to press the Volume Up key to continue entering the Download Mode.
Step2. Now, connect your Samsung Galaxy Note in your PC with the help of original USB cable.
Step3. While you connect your cable, the Odin ID: Com section will turn yellow that means Odin has detected your mobile and your drivers are ok.
Note: If the ID: COM section doesn’t turn Yellow, you need to check USB Drivers in your computer &Go to the Path “Settings > Wireless & Network > USB Settings” and Ensure that “Samsung KIES” option is ticked before connecting the phone to the computer.
Step4. Now go to “PDA” section and select the file which is named as “N7000XXLPY_N7000XALPY_N7000XXLPT_HOME.tar.md5” from the extracted file. Firmware update process will start.
Step5. Now your phone will be restarted, and land in the home screen. Just now disconnect the phone from the computer.
Step6. Now, again turn off your phone so that it can be entered in the recovery mode. The Recovery mode in Galaxy Note can be entered by pressing Volume down Key + OK button, and holding both simultaneously presses the Power Button. Now, a Warning message will be shown when you need to press the Volume Down key to continue entering the Recovery Mode.
Step7. On here you have to select Wipe data/factory reset and also you need to select Wipe Cache partition and then reboot your device by selecting reboot system now with the help of Volume rocker keys.
That’s it now your device after restart land on new ICS XXLPY 4.0.3 Firmware.

If I Wipe data/factory reset, do I need to re-install all application? I follwed upto steps 5 and it seems, my Note is working fine except too much battery consumption.
Also, does this update include My Story, I do not find on my phone
