Apple released its new iPad on 12 of October 2012; all new iPad is thinner, lighter and faster than ever. Latest 4th generation iPad 4 houses a super HD display of 9.7 inches LED-backlit IPS TFT, capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors with a resolution of 1536 x 2048 pixels and protection of Scratch-resistant glass, oleophobic coating. iPad 4 will be running on iOS 6 OS. It will provide you better storage option with Thunderbolt support. Amazing iPad has capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors with a resolution of 1536 x 2048 pixels and protection of Scratch-resistant glass. Samsung already launched the Galaxy Note 10.1 which has also competitive specs as iPad 4 houses 10.1in screen offers a strikingly sharp resolution of 1280×800 pixels. That may not quite be up there with the iPad 4 1536 x 2048 pixels but it looks terrifically detailed and clear, with good contrast and a wide viewing angle. It’s sensitive too, responding promptly to fingers and stylus alike. King iPad 4 defiantly better detailed screen than Samsung has equipped its tab with super HD 9.7 inches LED-backlit IPS TFT, capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors with a resolution of 1536 x 2048 pixels and protection of Scratch-resistant glass, oleophobic coating and Samsung has equipped its tab with a 10.1 inches PLS TFT capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors with resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. iPad has always better screen than Samsung. But Galaxy Note 10.1 unique is its “S Pen” stylus, for which Samsung has partnered with graphics tablet specialist Wacom, famous for its products for designers and artists..

Camera:

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 has 1.9 megapixel cameras on the front for video calls and on the back 5 MP cameras which comes with auto focus and an LED flash, as well as features like zoom by pinching the screen, there are options for smile detection, macro and panorama shots, as well as a range of effects. You can shoot up to 2560×1920 HD still images and record video at 30fps at full 720p HD resolution. Whereas 4th generation iPad has also 5 MP with a resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels autofocus primary camera along with a 1.2 MP front facing camera for face detection, video calling over Wi-Fi or Cellular.

Operating System & Processor:

Samsung Note 10.1 runs on Android OS, v4.0.3 (Ice Cream Sandwich), upgradable to v4.1 powered by a Exynos 4412 Quad-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A9 with GPU of Mali-400MP processor. whereas iPad 4 Runs on Apple iOS 6 OS and is powered by a Apple A6X Dual-core 1 GHz Cortex-A9 along with a GPU of PowerVR SGX543MP4 (quad-core graphics). As I have seen earlier Samsung provides better performance os hardware having quad-core processor where as apple is still on Dual core which is not so impressive.

Storage:

Both devices comes in three variants of storage 16/32/64 GB internal memory, Samsung Note 10.1 can be expanded upto 64 GB via microSD card slot means total 128 GB total storage but this feature  is missing on iPad 4.

 Connectivity:

iPad 4 has its connectivity via 3G, 4G AND Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot (carrier dependant) and Galaxy Note has Connectivity Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, dual-band, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth v4.0 with A2DP and 3G.

Price:

Apple has priced its latest tablet iPad 4 around $ 623. Samsung has priced its tablet around Priced around $ 761. Here also Apple is superior as it is cheaper than Galaxy Note 10.1
