How to Root Galaxy Nexus LTE (CDMA) and (GSM) handsets on ICS Android 4.0.2 Firmware:

Requirements:
- Download the Galaxy Nexus CDMA Rooting Package
- Download Galaxy Nexus GSM Rooting Package
- flashing tool ODIN
Instructions:
Step1. Extract the downloaded file above on your desktop
Step2. Run ODIN and make sure Re-Partition, Phone EFS Clear and Phone Bootloader Update are unchecked.
Step3. Hit the PDA button and select the .tar file you extracted earlier.
Step4. Turn Off the phone and enter in Download mode.
How** *once the device gets powered Off, turn On the device and press the Volume Down + Power Button***
Step5. Connect your phone in PC via USB, let the Odin opened in your computer.
Step6. See Odin will turn yellow which will mean that all the drivers are successfully installed.
Step7. Click on the PDA tab and select the file which is named as “GalaxyNEXUS_CDMA_rootingPACKAGE”
Step8. Click on start button and wait for process take place. The whole process will be completed within 10 Min and phone will automatically restarted.
