How to install Official ICS I9100XXLPQ Android 4.0.3 firmware for Galaxy S2: tutorial

Today in this post we would discuss about how to install Official ICS I9100XXLPQ Android 4.0.3 firmware for Galaxy S2. It is an official version from Samsung, so it will be bug free. Samsung they have now started rolling out official ICS update via Kies and OTA. It is just a simple guide to update your phone to official ICS I9100XXLPQ using ODIN method. Samsung Galaxy S2 comes with Android OS v2.3 and a powerful Dual-core 1.2GHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor. It has big 4.3 inches Super AMOLED Plus capacitive touch screen with 16M colors and 400 x 800 pixels resolution. How to install Official ICS I9100XXLPQ Android 4.0.3 firmware for Galaxy S2:

Requirements:

• Just do a full wipe before install.
• Samsung USB Drivers , Download Link
• I9100XXLPQ_I9100OXALPQ_XEO.zip 382 MB  | Download link
• Pit file+ ODIN  download
• Shut down all antivirus and Kies software.

Procedure:

1. First unzip the main firmware file I9100XXLPQ_I9100OXALPQ_XEO.zip and you will see these files
   1. I9100XXLPQ_I9100OXALPQ_I9100XXLPQ_HOME.tar.md5
   2. SS_DL.dll
2. Run Odin in your PC.
3. Power off your Galaxy S2 and wait till one vibrate comes to ensure complete switch off.
4. Now when phone is completely turned off, Hold Volume down key+ Home button key and press power on, Just accept as told in the screen
5. Connect your phone with USB cable and run ODIN You should get the message “Added” on box will be turned yellow. That means you are successfully connected.
6. Check only Re partition, Auto reboot & F. Reset time in option
7. Put the files like this in Odin:
   PIT = u1_02_20110310_emmc_EXT4.pit
   PDA = I9100XXLPQ_I9100OXALPQ_I9100XXLPQ_HOME.tar.md5,
8. Now, just click on start button and process will begin. Wait for some time don’t panic, it will be automatically restarted.
