The F1 Galaxy Nexus custom ROM is an AOSP ROM completely based on the official Galaxy Nexus Android 4.0.4 stock operating system. Many have named this ROM as “Pure Gold” because it’s very smooth and is also free of any additive or bloatware. This ROM has also got some of the best features like: 180-degree rotation, a tweaked scrolling cache for smooth scrolling, Galaxy S2 settings in the launcher, T9 dialer, MP4 video recording and most importantly the stock Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich feel and look. Pre-Requisites:
- Please charge your device so that there is at least 70% charge with it.
- Backup all essential data’s on your phone.
- Enable USB Debugging in your phone. Go to Settings -> Developer options and see that the USB Debugging option should be ticked.
- Download F1 Galaxy Nexus ROM and Google Apps package from here to your computer. Extract all the downloaded files and place the “F1-GalaxyNexus-ATTGalaxyS2-20120605.zip” file and “gapps-ics-20120429-signed.zip” file to the root directory of your phone’s SD card.
Procedure to Install Android 4.0.4 ICS F1 Galaxy Nexus Custom ROM on your AT&T Samsung Galaxy S2 SGH-I777:
Step1: Reboot your phone into ClockworkMod Recovery. Create a NANdroid backup of your existing ROM.
Step2: Now, from the recovery menu select “Wipe Data/Factory Reset”.
Step3: Again from the main menu, select “Install zip from sdcard” then select “choose zip from sdcard” and then choose the “F1-GalaxyNexus-ATTGalaxyS2-20120605.zip” from the SD card you’ve placed.
Step4: After the installation has completed, flash “gapps-ics-20120429-signed.zip” in the same way as you’ve flashed the custom ROM.
Step4: When all the two flash have been successfully flashed, select “++++Go Back++++” and then select “reboot system now” to reboot your phone.
